Lacrosse coach Sara Tisdale officially signed her contract with Florida State on May 19. I’m not sure why the formalized contract took this long, considering she was introduced in late July 2024, but we wanted to pass along some details. Tisdale's contract was provided to the Osceola as part of a public records request.
Tisdale’s contract runs through June 30, 2029. That represents a five-year deal, which is the same as athletics director Michael Alford has given to his head coach hires (Link Jarrett, Brooke Wyckoff, Brian Pensky and Luke Loucks).
In a pro-rated first year, Tisdale is earning $130,000. Her salary bumps to $135,000 in year 2 and steps up by $5,000 annually. She received a $25,000 sing-on bonus.
The deal is incentive-laden, including a $5,000 bonus if FSU participates in the NCAA Championship and it steps up if the Seminoles advance in that postseason tournament. Tisdale will also earn $5,000 if the team cumulative GPA is 3.0 or higher and another $5,000 if the team’s APR achieves a 975 mark.
