Four-star 2026 safety prospect Chauncey Kennon announced on social media Tuesday night that he will make his commitment public on July 6th. Kennon also announced that the six schools he will consider moving forward are FSU, UGA, Florida, Oregon, LSU and Miami.
As recently as March, Kennon indicated that FSU, UGA and LSU were the leaders of that group of six. He will take an official visit to FSU on June 13. He is also set to take official visits to Miami this weekend, then UGA the week before his trip to Tallahassee and then LSU after his trip to FSU. Kennon is reported to have taken his official visit to Florida during the weekend of May 16. He currently doesn't have an official visit set with Oregon, so despite being listed among his top schools, they aren't thought to be a true finalist at this point.
