FSU extended to an offer to 2026 FB/DT prospect Ashton Dawson from Shreveport (La) Evangel Christian Academy on Saturday. The offer to the unranked and unrated prospect was extended by assistant coaches Chris Thomsen and Gus Malzahn.
Dawson, 6-2 and 285-pounds, has been so lightly recruited up to this point that he doesn't have a Rivals profile yet. That is likely to change now that he has picked up offers FSU, Troy and Arkansas this spring.
Dawson is being recruited by FSU as a FB/TE/Hback. He only carried the ball two times for his team as a junior in 2024. He also caught two passes last year. Dawson was highly productive as a defensive tackle where he recorded 103 tackles and 17 TFLs.
