FSU will head into the 2026 season with Brock Glenn (JR) and Kevin Sperry (FR). I seriously doubt there is a more appealing depth chart in college football for an elite QB. If playing time is important FSU provides an opportunity for a young QB to come in DAY 1 and start. We will break down the three quarterbacks on the board.

1) Keisean Henderson -(Legacy School) (5-Star) 6'3-180 -

What you notice on film is his ability to get back and throw the ball. He sees what the defense is showing and will take advantage. He has a real nice throwing motion. Second play (.20 seconds) Henderson gets out of the pocket. Moves a little like Jameis. Not a great athlete but can move in the pocket. Watch his head....It stays up even though there is pressure coming and he is able to hit the receiver in the back of the end-zone. He can avoid pressure. When scouts think mobility they think Jordan Travis. Well Tom Brady had good mobility. They are able to move around the pocket and create space to throw. You also notice the ball comes out of his hand very clean. I like how he is going to allow plays to develop. One major issue I saw with DJ U in high school is when the first play was not there and things broke down he took off and ran. This kid does not do that. He is the best QB FSU is recruiting. Rivals has Henderson the #3 QB in the country. I have seen Brandon Faizon. Very gifted QB but I think the kid is not the number one QB overall. What is crazy is Troy Huhn is rated #29 by Rivals. If there are 28 better QB's it is a great year for the position. Ryder Lyons is rated #2 overall. He is more in the Baker Mayfield mold of QB's.

2) Landon Duckworth - (Jackson HS) (4-Star) 6'4-215 -

Duckworth looks big. I have not seen him in person but 6'4 and looks it on film. He is not as smooth as Henderson but his ability to put the ball on the mark is impressive. He is a better athlete. He can beat you with his legs. He has a little Jayden Daniels in his game. He throws from all angles. You would like to see him be a little quicker in his decision making. Has a tendency to lock onto one receiver. His arm talent is evident on film. He is very gifted. There is no doubt that if this kid develops you could be looking at a 1st round pick. He moves well in the pocket. You will see him bide time in the pocket. He makes it look easy. I like Landon but have Henderson higher on the board.

3-Jaden O'Neal - (Mustang HS) (4-Star) 6'2-208

Of all three quarterbacks O'Neal is the only one I have seen in person. I feel like he looks more like a defensive end or h-back than a quarterback. Does he have a strong arm, yes? Would I say his arm talent is ELITE, no? So now it comes down to my traits of having something ELITE....What is ELITE about O'Neal? I am not sure. He has a good arm but not a great arm. He is not super quick at making decision. His accuracy is good but not great. He can move well but is he an elite athlete, no. Would it shock me to see him be good, no? When you have struggled at HS recruiting at the QB position...this is an evaluation you better be right on. I think Henderson and Duckworth have way less downside.

Final Thoughts: FSU needs a QB in this class so you are not going to turn down O'Neal but in the state of Florida you have Dia Bell and Dereon Coleman and you are not landing either one. I would take both over O’Neal. It does not mean I will be right. I really like Henderson. I think with players like Henderson, you don't need other elite players around him. I think he makes guys around him better. He is a difference maker. I am a big fan of his. I would like to see him in person to really evaluate him. Duckworth is a notch below Henderson but don't kid yourself that kid can make plays. O'Neal has talent. I don't want to knock him but I feel that if he is your guy, the talent around him better be ELITE.
